So far it’s been a beautiful game by some of the best national teams in Africa, bringing in amazing showpiece to the table . the AFCON after undergoing several postponement and controversy of the proposed date caused by the covid-19 pendemic still ravaging some European countries and the English club clashes with AFCON on the bases of releasing some of their key players-kicked off on the 9th of January 2022

Some of the favorite of the tournament are Cameroon, Nigeria, Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco

So far the best team of the tournament is Cameroon with 7 point and have already qualify for the next stage of the tournament but the best impressive team who are lively in the tournament are the Nigerians. The Super Eagles are through to the next round with 2 wins from 2 having 6 point already winning one of the toughest sides in AFCON Egypt by 1 goal to nil and a impressive win against Sudan 3 goals to 1

Nigeria is one of the favorite of the tournament but they were said not to go far in the tournament based on the pre-match tournament discussion where the likes of Victor Oshimen, Odion Igahlo, Dennis Emmanuel could not make it to the tournament for somes reason based on club not accepting and covid 19, Nigeria where force to pick first time international cap for Nigeria Awoniyi who is currently playing in the German Bundesliga as a attacking pattern with Kelechi Iheanacho
