The problem is a lot of big companies have their production in China do to cheap labour and disrespect for the environment by the Chinese government, which makes production costs lower. I suspect they think they can use that to threaten some countries. But the thing is there are other dirt poor countries that can offer the same advantages.

So I don't know what can China achieve with threatening, other than lose these giants that are feeding a good part of the population.
