I first announced the return of Maverick striker Ibrahimovic to AC Milan in a post some weeks ago, and of course he did return as expected.

Today, I will be writing about his record making goal against Cagliari on Saturday. Recall that Ibrahimovic scored the second goal in his side's 2 - 0 win over Cagliari this last Saturday, and you know what? There is something special about that goal... Its not just an ordinary goal, it's a record making goal — a historic goal!

I can still remember how my friends doubted the ability of Ibrahimovic to make impact again upon his return to AC Milan. My friends and I had an extensive deliberation about the return of Ibrahimovic to his former club, AC Milan. While most of them were of other opinion that Mr Ibrahimovic is overaged to make much impact, I argued that, though age is an important factor in football, but it may not hold waters after all and that Mr Ibrahimovic could throw up surprises against the negative expectations those who never supported his return.

Today, my prediction of him is coming to pass with the news of his historic goal against Cagliari in their last Saturday's meeting.

How is his goal historic?

According to the DailyMail, Ibrahimovic’s goal against Cagliari means the Swedish striker has now scored in four different decades after first scoring for Malmo against Vastra Frolunda back in 1999.

That's it. Truly, it isn't good to doubt one's abilities or base your judgement of someone on an isolated factor. Seriously, I would say age is an isolated factor in life and should be so in football. If not so, haven't you heard or seen some very few people who looks decades younger than they're truly are?

If you haven't, well this one is for you.

There has been many instances throughout history where age is found to be of no significance. The case of this former Manchester United star is one of such factors. His last Saturday's goal is the 475th goal of his career so far, and he isn't relating to add more laurels to his achievements.

His club's next meeting will be with Udinese scheduled for January 19. And I expect him to shine again to prove his doubters wrong.

Thanks for reading.

I really admire him. Despite his age, he is still scoring and delivering week in week out. Just that he needs to reduce his level of pride
