Arnautovic gets a ban
When Austria meets the Netherlands at the European Championships on Thursday, it will be without one of the big offensive aces. Marko Arnautovic has been given a one-day ban by UEFA after the match against Northern Macedonia. A match Austria won 3-1.
After the 3-1 score, Arnautovic made a gesture that got the North Macedonian Football Association out of its seats. They accused the Shanghai Port player of making a derogatory gesture against the North Macedonian Leeds player Ezgjan Alioski.
That accusation was upheld by the North Macedonians, and it has resulted in Marko Arnautovic now having a day in the corner of shame.
Marko Arnautovic has been out apologizing for the episode.
