RE: I need a break from Arsenal, how do I start following a different sport?

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

You should start properly supporting your local football club.

Who cares if the quality is shit, they represent something meaningful to you and going to games beats watching self-entitled rich foreigners in a different timezone.

Rugby:
Haha so there are actually 2 different rugby codes...

The rugby that you are talking about is called 'rugby union'.

But I follow the other code called 'rugby league'.

Up the Sharkies!

Cricket:
As for cricket, I only have time for test matches haha.

T20 is kids stuff.

Sure test cricket is an acquired taste, but the way momentum swings over 5 days is great.

The problem is that our local league has almost zero coverage. Isn't it a bit weird that I have to do serious internet digging to get information about a football club that's just around me?

It'll be worth it.

I'd love to hear some future stories about going to Nigerian football games!

Alright. I'll figure it out.

I started playing football though. I go to a local indoor pitch and play with other people in the area.

Ronaldo Mulitalo is bad ass. Love how he passed up the chance for a hatrick and assisted his teammate.

Rugby looks like a lot of fun.

And the guy he passed it to was a kid for his first career try.

Very cool :)

Too bad Ronaldo took an elbow to the face late in the game while making a tackle and it looks like he's broken his jaw.

Not so cool :(
