Well UEFA! Go f**k yourself!
Yesterday the Belgian Jupiler Pro League did take a brave decision bu canceling the competition!
One of the reasonings was that the government have enough at their mind with the Corona crisis than a football competition! So teams still had a chance on an European ticket! Others will get into financial problems but still they decided to cancel it because the health of the people are the most important thing at the moment!
But no regardless of the thousands of people dying each day from cov-19, the UEFA thinks that football rules the world and is more important than the health of the players, staff, press and fans!
This became clear when the warned the Belgian clubs that they could be expelled from the European cups! WTF!
Take for instance the Premier league. Liverpool could win their first title in 30 years! Suppose that the competition continues and that the games are played without the fans, still lots of law enforcement would be needed to keep fans away from the stadium! Imagine that they would win the title what what cause that in the City of Liverpool?
Yes in the case the health of us has more importance that football!
The Olympics hVe been postponed by a year, all sports are making a sacrifice only king football isn’t willing to bend!
No these clubs are still paying out millions in wages to the players will the regular employees are without income!
Don’t get me wrong, I do love football bit I do love my loved ones more!

Very true, we are all suffering without Hockey here in Canada, hopefully some day we will get our Freedoms back...But as they say Safety First!

There was no easy way to handle this one, I think they should have personally gone ahead with the games behind closed doors and just get it over with but then again sport is really the least of our worries most of these sports are over leveraged and will need to go into restructuring the glory days of big payouts for those involved are going to be over
O man, I would love to see games on the tele with closed doors. But most people wouldn't be able to resist to group together around the stadium. That is another reason why the Pro League decided to call it a day. Maybe even more police would be necessary for a game behind closed doors!
