Messi continues to win awards

Barcelona captain Lionel Messi won the Best Goal award for Barca last January.

According to Barcelona's official website, Messi received the highest number of votes in the referendum for the best goal scored by Barca last month, for his goal against Bilbao from a direct free kick, in the match that the Blaugrana won with two goals to one in La Liga.

This is the first time that Messi has crowned the Goal of the Month award in Barcelona this season, as Osman Dembele won for his goal in Juventus in October, Antoine Griezmann for his goal in Osasuna in November, and Ronald Araujo missed his goal in Valencia in December.
