Cassano: Ronaldo is a flop at Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo replaced Real Madrid with Juventus in the summer of 2018. The Portuguese superstar has admittedly helped "The Old Lady" to maintain Serie A dominance, but the great results in the Champions League have not materialized.

Last season, Juventus were knocked out already in the round of 16 by Olympique Lyon, and this season something could indicate yet another early exit. FC Porto thus beat Juventus "The Old Lady" in the first round of 16, which is why the Torino club must tighten up in the return leg.

Antonio Cassano believes, however, that part of the European disappointments should be attributed to Cristiano Ronaldo, who is not compatible with his former national team colleague, Andrea Pirlo, and his plans with Juventus. Cassano believes Juventus are moving away from the good old virtues.

He has another year left on his contract. Juventus picked him up to win the Champions League, but they have delivered the worst results since he arrived, Antonio Cassano said according to Metro.

They would also have won Serie A titles without him. That was the wrong project.

The only thing that mattered at Juventus 120 years ago was to win. It's still a duty, but they have tried to change character with Sarri and Andrea Pirlo.

Ronaldo has nothing to do with Pirlo's ideas. He will keep scoring, because he can do that sitting. He pulls into the field from the left side and can ruin the goal. His headbands are unique.

Andrea will build the game from behind - he will push hard on the pitch. Ronaldo can decide matches, but he does not participate very much.

Juventus' opportunity to avoid another early exit from the Champions League takes place on March 9, when FC Porto visit the Allianz Stadium in Turin. If Juventus manage to win the Champions League this year, it will be the first time since the 1995/96 season.
