Alisson Becker's goal not only brought Liverpool to beat West Bromwich Albion. But, also made him the sixth goalkeeper to score in the Premier League. Facing the WBA who had been relegated at The Hawthorns, Liverpool had struggled since the early minutes. They even conceded first by Hal Robson-Kanu's goal in the 15th minute.

However, Mohamed Salah made an equalizer in the 32nd minute. After that Liverpool was frustrated because several times the opportunities that were obtained failed to produce goals. The match looks set to end in a draw when Liverpool get a corner in the last minute of second half injury time. The ball that Trent Alexander-Arnold kicked led to the crowd of players and Alisson jumped high to gore it ... for a goal!

Liverpool won 2-1 while maintaining their chance to finish in the top four this season. Liverpool are fifth in the standings with 63 points, one point from Chelsea in fourth and three points from Leicester City in third. Alisson's goal made the Brazilian goalkeeper enter the history books as the first goalkeeper to score the winning goal for his team in the Premier League. Before this there had been five goalkeepers who scored, but none was as crucial as Alisson.
