Al-Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane talked about his team's chances of crossing the group stage in the African Champions League, after losing to Simba, Tanzania.

Al-Ahly lost at the hands of its host Simba, with a score (0-1), today, Tuesday, at Macapa Stadium, in the second round of the first group of the African Champions League.

Musimani said at the press conference, "We have 4 matches left to achieve the promotion goal, and we will work on that starting from the next match. We are able to qualify."

Al-Ahly coach stressed that his team entered the Simba match, with the aim of playing possession in the middle of the field.

He added, "We got several chances in the first half, but they were not translated into goals. Such matches are affected by a goal or an opportunity."

"The match could have been played in better conditions than this difficult atmosphere, but we have to deal with the loss professionally, and think about what is to come," he said.

He continued, "I am a professional coach and I am not distracted by the presence of the fans, as long as CAF decided that, but the atmosphere in which the match was held does not happen anywhere in the world."

"We were prevented from going to the stadium and there was great security harassment ... Everyone knows what happened, and I do not want to search for excuses for the loss, and this is football in Africa."
