A Spanish press report confirmed today, Saturday, that Real Madrid had refused to sign the Norwegian Erling Haaland, the Borussia Dortmund striker, earlier.

Haaland is currently one of the names in Real Madrid next summer, after his explosion with the Dortmund shirt.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca", the Spanish club was considering joining Haaland, while he was with the Norwegian Molde team.

She indicated that the royal club backed out of concluding the deal, preferring to give priority to hunt talent to players from the Brazilian League.

She explained that Salzburg swooped on Haaland's deal after Real Madrid withdrew, and settled it for only 8 million euros.

She stated that Real Madrid preferred to sign young players from Brazil in recent years, such as "Vinicius Junior, Rodrigo Joyce and Rainier Jesus".
