¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo una participación especial en una iniciativa desarrollada por @yolimarag la cuál pueden leer al hacer click aquí; fui invitado por @fermionico y la tenía planificada para hace unos días, sin embargo, mi contenido en vídeo me demandó mucho tiempo así que tuve que postponerlo, pero acá estamos.

Hoy les voy a hablar sobre mis 3 deportes favoritos, así que, sin más que agregar, ¡comencemos!

Welcome back to my blog, guys! Today I bring you a special participation in an initiative developed by @yolimarag which you can read by clicking here; I was invited by @fermionico and I had it planned for a few days ago, however, my video content demanded a lot of time so I had to postpone it, but here we are.

Today I'm going to talk about my 3 favorite sports, so, without further ado, let's get started!

1.- Fútbol | Soccer

Muchos lo denominan como el «deporte rey» y no es mera casualidad, pues realmente es uno de los pocos deportes que puede paralizar al mundo entero en su totalidad para poner todos los ojos hacia los partidos, inclusive fuera del mundial que se realiza cada 4 años, pues las ligas regionales también son súper populares.

No solo soy espectador de este increíble deporte sino también lo practico desde hace más de 15 años; siempre venía a jugar lo que denominamos en mi país unas «caimaneras» o partidos amistosos sin árbitros generalmente en donde las faltas eran determinadas por los mismos jugadores en consenso y se jugaba con el resto de reglas del fútbol.

Luego, a la edad de 17 años, al llegar a la universidad, pude entrar en un equipo con el cuál me mantuve entrenando durante un año y medio, luego cambié de equipo dos veces, empecé a entrenar en un equipo en el que estuve para jugar algunas copas distritales y terminamos campeones de un torneo en el cuál yo fui uno de los jugadores más valiosos de la final, pues terminamos yendo a los penales y pude tapar 3 ese día, sí, yo era el portero.

Many call it the "king sport" and it is not mere coincidence, because it really is one of the few sports that can paralyze the whole world to put all eyes to the games, even outside the world cup that takes place every 4 years, because the regional leagues are also super popular.

I am not only a spectator of this incredible sport but I have been playing it for more than 15 years; I always came to play what we call in my country "caimaneras" or friendly matches without referees generally where the fouls were determined by the players themselves in consensus and played with the rest of the rules of soccer.

Then, at the age of 17, when I got to college, I was able to join a team with which I kept training for a year and a half, then I changed teams twice, I started training in a team in which I was to play some district cups and we ended up champions of a tournament in which I was one of the most valuable players of the final, because we ended up going to penalties and I was able to cover 3 that day, yes, I was the goalkeeper.

2.- Esgrima | Fencing

Este es mi segundo deporte favorito, lamentablemente nunca pude practicarlo a pesar de que siempre quise hacerlo; cuando llegué a la Universidad Central de Venezuela, me enteré que había un equipo que entrenaba esgrima del otro lado de la universidad (yo estudiaba en la facultad de Ciencias, apartado de todo), el costo era bastante bajo, pero por diversas razones nunca pude comenzar a entrenar, entonces decidí dedicarme al fútbol en su lugar.

Siempre veía este deporte en los juegos olímpicos, recuerdo cuando lo conocí, gracias a un gran esgrimista venezolano llamado Ruben Limardo que logró una medalla de oro en los juegos olímpicos del año 2012 en Londres, cosa que lo catapultó al estrellato en el mundo de los atletas olímpicos.

Me encanta la disciplina, la vestimenta, la técnica, siento que todo lo relacionado con este deporte me parece simplemente épico.

This is my second favorite sport, unfortunately I could never practice it even though I always wanted to; when I arrived at the Central University of Venezuela, I learned that there was a team that trained fencing on the other side of the university (I studied in the Faculty of Sciences, away from everything), the cost was quite low, but for various reasons I could never start training, then I decided to dedicate myself to soccer instead.

I always saw this sport in the Olympic games, I remember when I met him, thanks to a great Venezuelan fencer named Ruben Limardo who won a gold medal in the 2012 Olympics in London, which catapulted him to stardom in the world of Olympic athletes.

I love the discipline, the clothes, the technique, I feel that everything related to this sport is simply epic.

3.- League Of Legends

Les parecerá gracioso leer esto en este post, pero desde hace tiempo es completamente oficial que el juego de la empresa Riot Games conocido como League Of Legends ya se le ha adjudicado el título de E-Sport o Deporte Electrónico, motivado a que cumple con todas las especificaciones que debe tener algún juego para ser considerado deporte:

• Posee reglamento.
• Posee competiciones.
• Amerita entrenamiento y desarrollo de habilidades cognitivas.
• Se emplean tácticas y estrategias en las partidas.

Podría decirse que la manera de ver y entender esto es con el ejemplo del ajedrez, ya que, aunque es un juego en el que no se involucra un uso gigantesco de energía física, hay que utilizar mucho la mente, desarrollar estrategias y además posee reglamento y competiciones.

Entonces, sabiendo esto, debo admitir que tengo demasiado tiempo (11 años) jugando League Of Legends, al punto de haberlo vuelto una disciplina en mi vida; llegué a estudiar tanto este juego, que hace unos 6 años aproximadamente, casi tuve la oportunidad de salir de mi país para jugar profesionalmente el juego, pero por problemas de conexión (clásico en Venezuela) no pude asistir a la prueba de admisión y no me permitieron realizarla de nuevo.

Habría amado ser un videojugador profesional de este juego y muchas personas lo verán descabellado, pero ya ha habido un jugador venezolano en filas profesionales de este deporte electrónico, su nombre de jugador es Relic y ha llegado a estar en equipos altamente competitivos como Infinity eSports CR, un equipo europeo con muchísimo nivel, el cuál ha ganado el mundial de dicho deporte en una ocasión.

It may seem funny to read this in this post, but since some time ago it is completely official that the game of the company Riot Games known as League Of Legends has already been awarded the title of E-Sport or Electronic Sport, because it meets all the specifications that must have any game to be considered sport:

• It has rules.
• It has competitions.
• It requires training and development of cognitive skills.
• Tactics and strategies are used in the games.

It could be said that the way to see and understand this is with the example of chess, since, although it is a game that does not involve a gigantic use of physical energy, it is necessary to use the mind a lot, develop strategies and also has rules and competitions.

So, knowing this, I must admit that I have too much time (11 years) playing League Of Legends, to the point of having made it a discipline in my life; I got to study so much this game, that about 6 years ago approximately, I almost had the opportunity to leave my country to play professionally the game, but due to connection problems (classic in Venezuela) I could not attend the admission test and I was not allowed to do it again.

I would have loved to be a professional gamer of this game and many people will see it crazy, but there has already been a Venezuelan player in professional ranks of this electronic sport, his player name is Relic and has come to be in highly competitive teams like Infinity eSports CR, a European team with a lot of level, which has won the world championship of the sport on one occasion.

Debo admitir que todavía no me canso de jugar League Of Legends y algún día me gustaría tener mi propio equipo, para ser el coach de ellos, por ahora solo juego algunas que otras veces cuando el internet me lo permite y sigo entrenando y viendo a los jugadores profesionales hacer lo suyo.

Perdí mi cuenta vieja (la del año 2010) y tuve que crearme una nueva pero ya siento que voy bastante bien, de hecho ya estoy alcanzando la liga Oro III en mi primera vez rankeando en mucho tiempo (rankear es jugar partidas clasificatorias).

I must admit that I still can't get enough of playing League Of Legends and someday I would like to have my own team, to coach them, for now I just play a few times when the internet allows me to and I keep training and watching the professional players do their thing.

I lost my old account (the one from 2010) and I had to create a new one but I feel I'm doing quite well, in fact I'm already reaching the Gold III league in my first time ranking in a long time (ranking is playing qualifying games).
