T20 Indian Premier league 2021 - Day 18 - Match No 21 - [KKR v/s PBKS]

Day 18 of the IPL 2021. Today's match was between Kolkota Knight Riders [KKR] v/s Punjab Kings [PBKS] played in Ahmedabad.
First game on a new venue.

Match Statistics:

KKR won the toss and elected to field

PBKS started slow. Lost one wicket in powerplay and scored 36 runs. But, PBKS batting issues continued, losing wickets at intervals. None of the top order scored good runs. PBKS managed only 123/9 in 20 overs

In reply, KKR lost 3 quick wickets, but then a good fourth wicket partnership took then closer. KKR scored 126/5 in 16.4 overs.

KKR won the match by 5 wickets (20 balls to spare)

Analysis:

KKR bowlers did a good job restricting the PBKS to a very low total.
KKR captain finally managed to score some good runs and won the match for the team.
KKR did well in this match, but they still have top order batting issues to figure out.

On the other hand, PBKS batting has gone from bad to worse. PBKS had some good and bad moments on the field, an excellent catch followed by misfields etc.
They have to figure out quickly their batting and bowling plans if they want to reach the qualifiers.
