Abandoning a sporting discipline has its cost

I recently read about the time that, after we stop exercising, our body begins to lose those conditions that cost us to achieve. And I found it very interesting, it is something I want to share with all of you.

Like most good things, it takes us longer to develop them than to lose them. We can invest months and even years to reach a point of muscular development or resistance that allows us to be winners in something, or that defines our good development in some sporting activity, however, losing these conditions is very fast.

The loss of certain conditions begins to be seen and noticed with only 4 weeks of inactivity, in the course of 8-12 weeks and your conditions will have diminished considerably. Of course, there will always be many factors that impact and make this process faster or slower, for example, age is a key factor, the more advanced the age, the more time it takes to reach a certain level, but the faster you lose those conditions.

Diet, obviously is another factor to consider in this aspect, if a drastic change is made in this and it gets worse, fat will take an important place and will limit the proper development and maintenance.

In the same way, people who have dedicated themselves to develop their musculature with the use of weights, the muscles take a long time to lose their dimensions, many months, but what is really detrimental in a few weeks is the ability to lift weight, because the muscles become weaker or lazy, which will not allow that after a few weeks they can lift the same weight or with the same ease as before, so everything changes, and the conditions are lost very quickly, much faster than the time it takes to develop it.
