Importance of teamwork in sports

When an athlete is thought to be very good, attention is focused on him, as if he were the elementary piece, and he may have a great importance in the team, but the reality is that he can never be great if he does not have a good team.

This post, regarding the famous phrase of the great Michael Jordan:

"Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships ".

Many times the person who could be considered the "best in the world " in some sport discipline does not yield the desired results because teamwork is deficient, so this athlete could not receive enough support to be able to give the best of himself.

It also happens that factors such as envy end up affecting the development, because if any of the members do not collaborate with that person who stands out, because of jealousy or envy, they will not want to support him and undoubtedly affect everyone.

At this point I refer very exclusively to those sports that are obviously team sports, such as soccer or basketball, but we must not forget that even in athletes who develop in individual disciplines, such as the marathon, teamwork is also indispensable.

Because we do not see the coach of this athlete, nor the nutritionist or the doctor, but they make a team, and if any of them fails or gives bad indications, it will certainly have negative repercussions, so teamwork is a determining factor in the success of everything.
