As I grew up football who only knew Messi and Ronaldo striving to be the greatest, there comes a legend that we will never forget and that is Diego Maradona of Argentina. Died of a heart attack at the only age of 60, the world mourns his passing and there's definite proofs of that.

We can remember Maradona was part of the Argentine Football Association (AFA) who won the 1986 World Cup in Mexico. The famous Hand of God he made was during that time in the quarterfinal against England then winning in the finals 3-2 against a mighty German side.

A lot of condolences, memories, messages, and tweets all over the world in honor of the Argentine legend. Below are the famous messages :

A Sad day for Football

Clubs, Fans, and people around the world cherish the moments of him. His always smiling attitude and a huge supporter of football even after his prime proved his love of the game. As he passed the torch down to the next generation, he hopes for a better world.

Everyone cherishes a good memory of Maradona. But it was one play that still has heavy feelings towards him and it was 1986 English goalkeeper Peter Shilton. Up until now, Shilton remembers the day of Maradona's cheating. The famous "Hand of God" was the turning point of Argentina's victory over England he believes saying that if that cheating didn't happen it will be England progressing in the semi-final.

In fact, Shilton admitted that Maradona didn't apologize or there was never a time of his life that Maradona apologized for the cheating that happened. Maybe Diego believes the referee system and that was only a "glitch" of their awful refereeing.

Truth. This man may have left us but the joy and wonderful moments have stayed in our hearts. Thank you for bringing the best in you and entertaining the world. You were indeed a legend because legends remain in the hearts of the people.

After his passing, matches from all over the world took a pause and spent time in honor of Maradona. In fact, Paris St. Germain's UEFA Champions League group stage match against RB Leipzig on the 25th of November paid a tribute to his passing. The stadium says "Adios El 10!" which means Farewell until we meet again, our number 10. He's one of the best #10 to ever exist in football and there's no doubt about that.
