El histórico “Gunnersaurus” despedido: Jugador dispuesto a pagar su salario. Mis pensamientos ||ENG-ESP
Mesut Ozil jugador del Arsenal Fc se ha ofrecido a pagar el salario de la mascota del equipo “Gunnersaurus”.
La actual crisis económica causada por la pandemia mundial del coronavirus ha golpeado a casi todos los sectores de la sociedad, por no decir a todos. Los clubes de futbol no están exentos a la actual crisis, claro está que habrán clubes que puedan manejar de mejor manera que otros; al poseer mayor poder adquisitivo.
En este sentido muchos clubes, ya que al fin de cuentas son empresas muy poderosas, deben de tratar de proteger a sus trabajadores, puesto estos son parte principal de sus activos. Las empresas o nadie en general estaba preparada para semejante crisis por la pandemia, muchas empresas se han tenido que reinventar a sí mismas con tal de poder sobrevivir financieramente.
Habiendo dicho esto solamente quiero ofrecer mi opinión acerca de una noticia que se ha comenzado a viralizar por un gran gesto de un jugador del Arsenal: Mesut Ozil.
Ozil llegó al Arsenal en el año 2013 procedente del Real Madrid, club en el que había militado algunos años. El club inglés pagó por Ozil alrededor de 50 millones de euros, lo que convertía a Mesut en unos de los jugadores alemanes más caros del mundo. Nada mal para un joven talentoso como Ozil.
Desde ese entonces el jugador alemán ha estado jugando en Inglaterra para el club londinense. Muy rápido se ganó el cariño de la afición “Gunner”, pues desde su llegada demostró sus habilidades futbolísticas al estar envuelto en goles y asistencias para su nuevo club. Así y poco a poco Mesut se ha ganado el cariño de su afición con su trabajo y esfuerzo en las canchas de futbol.
Arsenal despide a 55 de sus trabajadores
Hace unos pocos meses atrás el Arsenal hacía publica la triste noticia del despido de al menos 55 de sus trabajadores, lo que según varias fuentes molestó a muchos de los jugadores y el actual técnico del club; ya que, el club había asegurado que la reducción del sueldo de sus jugadores iba a salvar el trabajo de los miembros del personal, esto según indican algunos medios.
Creo que esta medida financiera no estaba mal del todo, pues como había dicho antes las empresas necesitan adaptarse a la nueva realidad que estamos viviendo y el reducir el sueldo de los jugadores quienes son los que más dinero gana y con ello pagar el salario de trabajadores que por motivos de la pandemia no habían podido trabajar no estaba mal del todo.
No obstante, ni con esta medida Arsenal pudo mantener en sus puestos de trabajos a estos colaboradores ¿Entonces qué ocurrió ahí? Por un lado reducen el salario de los jugadores en un poco más del 12% para solventar el salario de los trabajadores y ni aun así los pudieron mantener en sus puestos ¿adónde fue el dinero de la reducción del salario de los jugadores?
El histórico “Gunnersaurus” también despedido
La histórica mascota del club conocida como Gunnersaurus también ha sido despedida en los últimos días, el club alega que rescinde del contrato de la mascota pues este se dedica a animar a las personas en el estadio y al no haber personas en los estadios por las medidas para prevenir el virus, ya no es necesario el Gunnersaurus.
Y aquí es donde Mesut Ozil se ha llevado todas las palmas de los aficionados del futbol en general pues, se ha ofrecido a pagar el salario de la mascota mientras en siga siendo jugador del Arsenal. Sin dudas es un gesto loable por parte del jugador alemán, que con este enorme gesto se ha vuelto a echar en el bolsillo a su afición.
Las mascotas de los clubes no son solamente para entretenimiento de los aficionados en los estadios de futbol o de cualquier otro deporte, sino que representan al club y sus valores en general, por lo que las convierten en parte esencial de ellos.
Esto deja una pésima imagen para el Arsenal puesto que para adquirir a nuevos jugadores no se ha guardado nada, ya que han adquirido a jugadores con contratos millonarios y no han podido pagar el salario de su mascota.

However, even with this measure, Arsenal could not keep these workers in their jobs. This leaves a bad image for Arsenal since they have not kept anything to acquire new players, since they have acquired players with millionaire contracts and have not been able to pay their mascot's salary.
