Manchester City sukses mengalahkan sang tetangga, Manchester United (MU) dengan skor 3-1 dalam laga leg pertama semifinal Carabao Cup yang digelar di Old Trafford. Tiga gol kemenangan Manchester City seluruhnya tercipta di babak pertama, masing-masing lewat aksi Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez, dan gol bunuh diri Andreas Pereira. United sendiri sempat memperkecil skor di babak kedua berkat gol Marcus Rashford. Tapi sayang mu harus menerima kekalahan ini.
