Normally, Thursday evenings are not known for their quality football programs but tonight is an exception. There is a very important Premier League fixture taking place this evening!

But first, our last game which was between Man. City and Wolves and ended up 4-1 but after an own goal, equaliser and a dramatic last 10 minutes. Sadly I didn't get to see the game but it looks like it was a good one and it extended City's lead at the top and their unbeaten run to 21 games, impressive indeed! We had one winner with the correct scoreline and no winners of the first goalscorer which is hardly surprising as the first two goals of the game were scored by Wolves, the first an own goal which doesn't count, and the second, an equaliser by Conor Coady, his first in the EPL! Full details at the end of the post, and so back to today, and they don't get much more interesting than this one....

Can you believe, 6th are playing 4th in the table? Liverpool's dreadful run of straight losses finally came to an end against bottom club Sheffield United last Sunday and considering their position, out of the European places, they will have a little confidence and a whole lot more fight with them going into this clash against a Chelsea team that's still bang in form after the appointment of Thomas Tuchel.
Liverpool are likely to have Fabinho back in the squad and Allison is also back after missing the trip to Sheffield. A big blow for Chelsea could come in the loss of top-scorer, Tammy Abraham and this might be key to this game. Chelsea score so few goals although their once leaking defence has been shored up considerably in the last few weeks. My predicition will be based on Abraham NOT playing and so I go...

Prediction: Liverpool 2 : 0 Chelsea - First Goalscorer: Salah ( who else? lol)

The Small Print

In the first goalscorer competition, own goals do not count. In the correct score competition, it's the score after 90mins. Extra time and penalties do not count and the pot for each competition will roll-over if there is no winner. If more than one person chooses the same first goalscorer or correct score, the prize is shared and everyone gets a little upvote! It seems I also need to add, one entry per person. Don't forget the new rule that only people with a rep of 45 or above are eligible to enter unless they have been approved. The bonus will be added to any winnings ONLY if Leeds United win and/or Man U lose and all payouts will never exceed 50% of post payout. Other bonuses paid out at my discretion.
