That was a bit of a con last night. Liverpool had to put out a team of kids so they could fulfill their World Club Championship game in Qatar tonight against Monserrat. If I were the rest of the teams in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup I'd be a bit peeved that Villa basically got a free pass to the semis!

One of our players, however, was a little bit wily and went for a Villa 4-0 win so kudos to @lostprophet for doing their research!

We go back to the quarters today for the game between Everton and Leicester. Everton need some good news this season so will be trying hard but Leicester, who are currently 2nd in the Premier League....will they field a weaker side or will they be battling just as hard for a chance of a trophy? It's up to you to decide but my personal thoughts are that they may simply cancel each other out and we may go to extra time and penalties.....we will see!!

In the first goalscorer competition, own goals do not count. In the correct score competition, it's the score after 90mins. Extra time and penalties do not count and the pot for each competition will roll-over if there is no winner. If more than one person chooses the same first goalscorer or correct score, the prize is shared and everyone gets a little upvote! It seems I also need to add, one entry per person. Don't forget the new rule that only people with a rep of 45 or above are eligible to enter unless they have been approved. The bonus will be added to any winnings ONLY if Leeds United win and/or Man U lose and all payouts will never exceed 50% of post payout. Other bonuses paid out at my discretion.

No one! It was a bit of a joke as it turned out but I've awarded 1000 tokens to @lostprophet for his close attempt by choosing 4-0 to Villa. There is also a bonus award for first-time participant @bozz.sports who suggested that 'Wishmeluck', that well known Chinese centre forward, might score the first goal. Bozz is American and so not very good at football ;-) Congratulations
