Neymar faces the specter of suspension after the Barcelona match

A Spanish press report said today, Wednesday, that Brazilian Neymar da Silva, star of Paris Saint-Germain, may face punishment by the European Football Association "UEFA", after criticizing the referee of his team's match against Barcelona in the European Champions League yesterday.

Neymar objected, through his Twitter account, to the penalty kick that was awarded to Barcelona, in the match in which Paris Saint-Germain won 4-1, on Tuesday, in the first leg of the Champions League final.

Neymar wrote a tweet in which he said: "This penalty kick is a joke," and another: "A dirty goal", referring to Lionel Messi's goal.

According to the Catalan newspaper "Sport", Neymar's reaction could cost him a penalty, if UEFA decided to refer to the tweets he wrote.

The current UEFA Code of Discipline includes this possibility in its Article 11, which deals with any "insults or any other behavior that violates the Basic Code of Conduct."

If this clause ends, it is natural for UEFA to open an investigation that could lead to a two-match suspension penalty, as is also stipulated in Article 15 of the same law of discipline, which classifies what Neymar did as non-sporting behavior by the player. The Brazilian who deleted the tweet just minutes after it was posted.
