UEFA challenges the "European Super"

The European Football Association (UEFA) declared Monday that it will expand the quantity of groups partaking in the Champions League from 32 to 36, beginning from 2024.

He clarified that the groups will play a more noteworthy number of matches, in insubordination of plans to dispatch a different competition under the name of the "European Super League".

The changes in the Champions League is give groups more matches in the gathering stage.

It is concluded that 100 matches will be added to the competition, which will see all groups put in one gathering, and each group will play 10 matches against different groups dictated by the arrangement, in what is known as the "Swiss model", after which the end of the season games will begin.

Recently, Monday, 12 clubs from England, Italy and Spain reported an arrangement to dispatch the European Super League title with the interest of 20 groups, with 15 of these groups being lasting gatherings in the competition.

UEFA had given a harsh admonition to the clubs on Sunday, and UEFA President Alexander Severin said today, Monday, that the players who will partake in this competition will be restricted from taking part with their public groups and taking part in competitions, including the World Cup.
