I've never fully understood how a manager can have such an effect on his team, or at least on some players. We often hear players claiming a certain coach completely changed their game, and we also see some players not performing well after their favorite coach leaves, or even in some cases following them to a different club. Sure, a different mindset, different tactics are important, but they are professional players, who should always be close to their best. I guess that's why clubs spend decent money on managers too, but still kind of a mystery to me...
