Good morning all. Parma officially announced that they have recruited Fabio Liverani as the new coach. The new tactician was fired by Lecce last week, and he has now signed a contract that runs until 30 June 2022 at Parma.

Liverani will start training Parma from September 1st. Liverani's introduction as Parma's new coach will officially take place next week. The former Lazio and Fiorentina midfielder replaces Roberto D'Aversa, who was sacked by Parma citing a loss of unity, harmony and enthusiasm between the two sides. Liverani's coaching career began in the Genoa youth team, before being appointed as the senior team coach.

He then coached the English club, Leyton Lorient, then handled two Italian clubs, Ternana, and the last three seasons overseeing Lecce. The 44-year-old has promoted Lecce twice in a row to compete in Italy's top tier after being sidelined for seven years in the 2019/2020 season.

Unfortunately, on the last day of last season, Lecce had to be relegated because they were only able to finish in 18th place.
