Good morning everyone. Liverpool failed to complete this musical award after Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne was voted the best English football player by the British Professional Footballers Association (PFA).

Last year the PFA was won by Liverpool Players Virgil Van Dijk (2019) and Mohamed Salah (2018). PFA itself is an award for players selected by fellow Premier League players. In the nomination, the Liverpool player Van Dijk is back on the list along with team-mates Sadio Mane, Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was named the young player of the year. Although they did not win the title of best player, Liverpool players who were nominated were selected for the Team of the Year.

Last season Kevin De Bruyne appeared very impressive despite failing to bring Manchester City to retain the Premier League title. The Belgian passport player was recorded to be able to contribute 13 goals and 20 assists for his team as well as being the player most involved in the creation of goals when compared to other players.

Kevin De Bruyne himself became the first Manchester City player since 1974 to win the PFA Player of the Year award. Meanwhile, the female player who won the award is Beth England who is currently defending Chelsea.
