Good afternoon all. Quite surprising news came from the former Real Madrid and Brazilian national team player, Robinho. Launching from Tuttomercato on Monday (12/10/2020), Robinho decided to return to his old club, Santos FC. This is Robinho's fourth chance to defend one of the top Brazilian League clubs. Previously, the player, who is now 36 years old, was in a Santos uniform in the 2002-2005, 2010 and 2014-2015 periods.
But this time, Robinho's return to Santos was shocking news because he was willing to get a small fee. Tuttomercato reported that Robinho earned a "symbolic salary" of 230 euros (about Rp. 3.9 million) per month at Santos. The salary that Robinho receives at Santos is very small for the size of a player who has played for a number of top European clubs. In 2008, when he was still in Real Madrid's uniform, Robinho was said to have received a salary of 4 million pounds (Rp.76 billion in current exchange rates) per year.
The owner of the full name Robson de Souza confirmed that he received a small fee in Santos. However, Robinho did not question this. He admits that he only wants to help the club that has raised his name in the midst of difficult times. Before deciding to return to Santos, Robinho played for the Turkish League club, Istanbul Basaksehir, in the 2019-2020 season. Robinho tied Santos on a short-term contract until February 28, 2021
