RE: ATP Finals 2020

I'm not a huge Tennis fan but this event is the sporting highlight of my old mum's year! She is missing toy boy Roger though! I stayed up late here to call her on Sunday evening and she basically said, I don't want to talk to you, I'm watching the tennis. Charming! She hasn't seen her little boy all year because we can't travel back and this is how she treats me! I bet she didn't realise it was moving to Italy next year...she won't be happy! I will break the bad news to her tonight by way of revenge ;-)
Hope you're well and life is being kind through these difficult times :-)

Lol, I can understand you mum as Roger is quite a player, however, she should have talked to you. :)
Yes, the tournament is moving to Italy but that doesn't change anything, unless you want to watch it live.
Thanks for the nice words, so far so good, we've been able to avoid trouble, let's hope it stays that way.
How about you? How is life at the other and of the world?

Since our very strict lockdown, curfew and ban on incoming flights from march to June, life has been back to normal here for the last few months. No cases reported outside the govt quarantine facilities (for Thais returning home, most flights are still banned and incoming tourists are still absolutely banned) and no deaths for months. We still temp check and log in absolutely everywhere and masks are still mandatory everywhere but apart from that, life is normal.

I don't exactly believe its quite so Covid free as there is no testing but we do feel safe and cosseted here and people are being quite sensible.

The downside for people like me is that although I can leave and come back as I'm married to a Thai, the special flights, insurance and mandatory 14-day stint in government-approved quarantine hotel at a cost of 1000euros up in which you can't even leave your room is prohibitive both in cost and time so I will just have to keep waiting. Missing friends and family though, especially as this will be another Christmas I will miss back home!

Swings and roundabouts I guess!

And in Romania? Still suffering badly like other parts of Europe?
