Chelsea shocked Barnsley to qualify for FA Cup quarter finals.
Immediately I started seeing this match last night, I knew it would be a tough one for Chelsea by just taking a good look at Barnsley's pitch. The pitch wasn't that okay at all but Barnsley players are quite familiar with the pitch and that really gave Chelsea a very large room for mistakes as they recorded more wrong touches and passes last night.
Barnsley would have taken the lead in the first 12mins of the game but luckily for Chelsea, kepa got his left leg against the ball on time.
The match was very boring and aside that, Barnsley played so much within Chelsea's goal box and that really placed Chelsea under much pressure yesterday. I don't just know why Tuchel (Chelsea's Manager) didn't play a different pattern knowing Barnsley hardly change formation, style and tactics.
The could have been decided with penalty shootouts if not for the one touch goal that came from Abraham in the 63rd minute of the match which was preceded by James fast cross into the box 18. Congrats to Chelsea as they'll be taking Sheffield United in the quarter finals!
