Richarlison's early goal gives Everton Victory at Goddison Park.
The match was more like a friendly war between Everton and Southampton at Goddison Park last night. Everton had a glorious win against Liverpool in the derby match and craved to continue with the winning habit. The match last night was more of a match to be forecasted for a draw but that Everton was able to seal their victory from the first 10 mins of the game actually made the match quite a tough one.
The early and beautiful goal from Richarlison made the match quite intense to a point that Southampton had to dominate the play with so much attacking force but it was quite bitter that yet Southampton couldn't get themselves more than one shot on target. There were many heavy shots that were blocked in Everton's goal box, and forces from Southampton's attacks could have earned them an equalize in the late minutes of the match but luckily for Everton, Pickford' s hand was able to reach out for the ball on time.
Everton are now at the 7th position on the league table, after playing 25 matches and securing 43 points in total. They still have an outstanding match. They've scored 38 league goals this season and conceded 33 goals, they don't have much goals but it's still a plus for them unlike Southampton. Southampton has score 31 goals and conceded 44 goals in the league this season. They've played 26 matches and have earned just 30 points in total, and are currently at the 14th position on the league table!
