Anybody who watches Manchester United play and take serious interest in why they concede easily will know that they have a problem defending, especially when defending against set pieces.
This problem was noticed against Everton.
The match in which they were leading by 2 goals at half time and ended up finishing the game at 3-3.
Most people blamed Tuenzeba for that error because he was the one who caused the foul in the first place.
But could anyone blame him much if what he wanted to do was just help the team out in the dying minutes of the game.

What came as a huge surprise to me was how easily they couldn't set an offside trap for the players from Everton looking to even the score in the dying minutes.
You could notice that after the goal they were asking for the referee to disallow the goal because they taught they set their offside trap well.

This same problem was encountered in the second leg of the UCL against PSG.
So now my question is, is acquiring Rafael Varane into the backing strengthen their set piece defense?
Varane is a tall athlete like defender who does his work excellently most times.
Even though sometimes he Is really unpredictable, which is normal for every player.
Sometimes you are so good and then on certain days it looks like you were forced into playing.

He covers up for his other defenders so well.
People say that without Ramos to coach him at the back he is always vulnerable.
But for me he Varane was the one who was rather doing the work at the back.
We all know Ramos to be a defender who likes to go forward and score goals which leaves the back open to attacks.
So I believe Varane had a back season last season because the season in a whole did not start well.

Manchester United really need a player of his caliber who is not scared to stay back alone and protect the team.
He is also were good at defending set pieces.
I think Varane to Manchester United is a very good deal and Varane's zeal for a new challenge will surely yield good results for Manchester United.
