The UEFA champions league is back and i can't get over the euphoria surrounding the toughest competition in Europe.
Its not just called the champions league, definitely is for league of the champions and it doesnt mattet whatever form you are as a team in your domestic league, once you are in for that Tuesday/Wednesday match, you must up your game so as to avoid any form of embarrassments, there shocks, there are surprises, dramas in foot and champions league is not an exception.
Who would have thought that Manchester united will not make it out of their group or inter milan will be knocked out of the group as well.
Whatever shock or drama or surprises we've seen, i can bet that what we're even about to witness will be far more than what we've seen.
The champions league resumes today after months of its absence, its the knockout stage, round of 16 and draws have been made, teams have prepared, some will have to go to war without their key men, some are happy they have all their players fully fit, some teams are well in run of form in their domestic leagues while some are struggling but one thing is this is UEFA champions league where anything is possible.
The teams playing tonight are RB LEIPZIG against LIVERPOOL, and BARCELONA against PSG.

Leipzig made it out from a group consisting PSG and Manchester united, they came second just behind PSG.
Leipzig are a very good team with a great young manager nagelsmann, they are currently on form winning their last 4 matches, another good thing about the team is the ability of the manager to tweak tactics, from playing 3 at the back or 4, so they live their opposing team guessing as to how they will line up, players to look out for are Angelino,yussuf poulsen,daniel olmo and C. nkunku.
Leipzig strength will be to play from the wings just like liverpool, they will rely on Angelino runs just as he did against Manchester united in the group stage
- For Liverpool their poor run continues losing their lastb3 matches, some say liverpool tactics has been exposed, some say klopp has drained his players with the counter attacks football they are playing, some say klopp should go, whatever anyone thinks, i feel they will bounce back and start winning i believe klopp can turn things around, though one of their problems is their inability to strengthen the squad, a reliable and proven centre back to deputize for van dijk would have strenthen liverpool, now fabinho and henderson are playing out of position, instead of playing at the midfield they are busy doing the defensive work.
The elp tittle is looking almost impossible for them, they are out already in the FA cup and carabao cup, if liverpool are to win anything this season it will be the champions league, meaning they need to turn around their form and start killing off teams.
Liverpool keymen for this match will be Mo sallah, Robertson and mane, these guys need to be on their A' game, they must show class and willingness to win.
Liverpool is expected to lineup in their ususal 4-3-3, they will want to move ball alot quicker and throws long ball, with their counter attacks.
This is the first meeting between the two teams and its going to be played in neutral venue, puskas arena.
I'm predicting a very lively match that will live up to its expectations and alot of goals
- For BARCELONA vs PSG match, this will definitely be the peak of the fixtures, a mouth watering and one that will be full of drama. Especially with the speculations linking messi with a move to france, neymar will not be invloved in this match so also angel di maria, thats a plus for barca and certainly PSG will miss these two players.
At the same time, PSG has mbappe,keane and mauro icardi to cover for the absence of these guys.
What are we to expect in this fixture?
As i said earlier, its going to be an eventful match, shocks,surprises,drama,rivalry. I call it rivalry because these two teams have previously met in this competition with barca coming out on top, i feel PSG will be out for a revenge mission and i do think they needed it more.
PSG have aged and experienced players who will be saying to themselves they can win this year champions league considering they got to the final last season before losing to bayern munich.
Both barca and psg are under new manager infact psg manager Mauricio pochetino just joined psg few months ago, and this is the kind of matches they'll want him to win.
Both teams are currently in form, scoring goals for fun with the two teams lining up in the same formation 4-3-3.
Barca also has defensive crisis with pique not certain to be included as hes just got back from an injury layoff.
Again i see messi coming to the rescue of his team but can the whole team match psg intensity and experience?
Its the first leg and barca is playing at home, psg will be looking to get something out from this match even if its a draw.
