EURO 2020, A TOURNAMENT WITH SO MUCH SURPRISES, SEEMS ITS FOR THE UNDERDOGS

EURO 2020 honestly i felt its going to be a tournament for the underdogs, i mean countries you would less expect to far in the competition talkless of being on the quarter finals, Czech republic, Denmark,Switzerland, Ukraine.
Czech republic is currently ranked #43 in the world, while Ukraine is ranked #24, Switzerland ranked #16 and Denmark #12. By all standard in this modern era, this century one would have rated France,Portugal,Germany higher and possibly to win and now there is just feeling that one of these underdogs will get to the finals.

DENMARK

The Danish national team has really impressed so far in this tournament without their main man Christian Eriksen, highest goal scorer in the qualifying series nd has well over 100 caps for the DENMARK national team.
Denmark lost the first game but found a way to have the right attitude and ginger to carry on. I think Eriksen has been their motivation, going all out, gun blazing and took apart Wales in the round of 16.

I'm personally impressed with this team, and coming up against Czech republic i felt they could grind out the result

SWITZERLAND

Sensational come back against world champion France, as in that was crazy going down 1 - 3 to france and they found their way back into the game, force the match into 3 all draw before beating France on penalty. Now they will square up against spain. The swiss will be very confidence they can win this especially after seeing off france. And spain at this tournament have not been really impressive, a bit shaky,
Swiss full of energy and togetherness should be able to get better of Spain in the quarterfinals

UKRAINE

Andriy Shevchenko boys are on rollercoaster, did not quite started well but they being able to grow in strength and confidence as the competition progresses. Zinchenko has been a revelation, irrespective of the boys age.
Maybe they were a bit lucky against Sweden because if the game had gone to penalties they might as well lost, i felt sweden played better than them and if not for the red card. But so far am also impressed with Ukraine. And they will need todo better against England if they still want to remain in this competition.
Most likely England gets a win over them thou but Ukraine hasnt done badly in the tournament.

ENGLAND

A quarter finals spot is still not enough for England, anything other than winning the competition is still not acceptable, i mean when was the last time they win a major tournament? Or play in the final. They are quite impressive so far, defensively they are better, not conceding a goal so far, but offensively they are not giving enough, harry kane just had one goal, Sterling has been their best player so far scoring their goals.
They can beat Ukraine in the quarterfinals and progress to the semifinals.

Who has been my best team so far in euro 2020?

Italy has been my best team so far, looks like a complete team from defense to midfield to attack, they've been so excellent, am actually tipping them for gold in this tournament, their big test will be against Belgium in the
Quarterfinals, if they can get past the belgian which am sure they can, then they can go ahead to win the tournament.

For every team that made it to the last eight, have equal chance of wining his euro 2020 but is it going to be an underdog.

The tournament has really add more scepticism as one cannot really predict what can happen next in the tournament. If Switzerland can defeat the favourite France from 3-1 down this shows that anything could happen and any team may get qualified to the next round.

You are so right, infact thats why i don't want to stick my neck for any team just yet, the euro is living up to its expectations, just look at the way Austria stretched italy in R16. All the teams look equal though

Of a truth Euro 2020 features so many great players but the fact that those great players are not playing together for a long time affected the way of being a formidable team. Having a different coach with different coaching mentality as well also affect the rate at which some of them play at their national level.

Exactly, given the limited time they trained together unlike the club futbol, i think the bond, the chemistry is lacking in some team.
Maybe thats also affecting some teams

The last time an underdog won the Euro was in 2004 when Greece defeated Portugal in the final. I don't think an underdog will win this tournament. I think the final will be Italy vs England, and in my opinion, Italy is a bit better so I believe they have more chances of winning that hypothetical final.
