Its monday already and the beginning of new working week, the weekend was fun for football lovers, we've seen our favorites teams played and watched our favorites players in action.
But something caught my attention, and thats seeing the so called big teams, the recent table toppers dropped points the likes of athletico madrid, AC milan and PSG all dropped vital points.
For PSG their post champions league hangover & woes still continues, remember after their first leg win over Barcelona, they lost 2 nil to Monaco in the league and after their 2nd leg champions league at home against Barcelona, they lost yesterday at home to Nantes. There are questions raised as to their league form under new manager Pochetino. Now they are in 2nd place 3 points behind the leader lille and level on point with the 3rd placed team Lyon. Well many believed wining the league is not PSG priority this season as they have always dominated french league 1 over the years, maybe their focus is on the champions league as they are yet to win it even with the huge money invested on players. Getting to the final last season is not enough, they have successfully eliminated Barcelona in this competition, i still feel bayern Munich is still their worst nightmare going forward this season champs league, and for anything they want to achieve they need a fully fit neymar, a fully squad

For athletico madrid at some point they were 14 points ahead 2nd placed real madrid, but bad run of form see the gap cut to just 6 points and if Barcelona win today it will be just 4 points. How athletico Madrid got here is what i dont understand, they looked like the best team in laliga this season when the likes of Barcelona and real Madrid were losing matches. Athletico madrid still have difficult matches especially against barcelona and sevilla this season, this makes it more difficult for them, will they come out on top and win the laliga this season, fingers crossed.
Its quite unfortunate for Ac milan when everyone had thought they spring that surprise winning the league, they dominated and was on the league summit for their a while but their dip in form and injuries had cost them, they lost to spezia, inter milan and just yesterday they lost at home to Napoli, going 9 points behind leaders inter milan.leading juventus at 3rd place with just 1 point with Juventus an outstanding match to play. I think Ac milan can now forget winning the league this season but rather focus on making the top 4 finish so as to play in the champions league next season or wining the europa league this season but they have to beat Manchester United first. Zlatan Ibrahimovich is still out injured, no wonder thier coach Stefano pioli was lamenting, i think they are abit unlucky so far this season, zlatan is important for Milan the way lukaku is important for inter milan and C.Ronaldo to Juventus.
