Things are heating up in the spanish laliga, a four-horse race!
Being following Spanish football for a while now and This season looks like one hell of a season, very tigh at the top, seems we will have to wait till the very last day to know the winner, initially it looks like a 3 horse race but now its a freaking 4 horse race between Athletico madrid,Barcelona,Real madrid and sevilla.
Sevilla for me is looking like a tittle contender as well.
- while Athletico madrid will rather be disappointing with themselves for slipping up for most part of the season, barcelona will be hoping to leapfrog them to the submit.
Coincidentally its just 3 points between 4th placed sevilla and first placed athletico madrid, meaning a further slip up by ath.madrid can see them go further down to 4th placed.
- Real madrid have failed to grab their chances after firing blanck in their last 2 matches, winning none but they will still have their eyes in the champions league playing in the semifinals against chelsea.
looking at the remaining fixtures;
Seems no fixture is easier for any team, especially with where the season is right now;
athletico madrid remaining fixtures will be against elche,Barcelona,real sociedad,Osasuna,valladolid.
You can say this is a rather easy fixtures for Athletico madrid, but their game against Barcelona will go a long way to determine how the season ends, a win for Athletico will go a long way into boosting their season and confidence. Again Barcelona can't afford to lose this one as well.
Barcelona remaining fixtures include matches against; granada,Valencia, athletico,levante,celta vigo,Eibar
Real madrid's remaining fixtures are against osasuna,sevilla,granada,ath.bilbao villareal
One interesting thing in the remaining fixture is that the teams in the top four will have to play against themselves, athletico madrid is playing against barcelona, while real madrid is playing against sevilla. Wow, i think in just a sec the table can totally turn, and thats why am even puting sevilla in the mix, a win for sevilla against real madrid will see them go ahead of madrid.
- Whatever be the case, we will need to cross our fingers and see how the whole spanish football will turn out, seriously i feel all the fans of these clubs will be nervous, i think if athletico madrid lose this trophy they will be disappointed in themselves and will put further pressure on manager diego simeone. Barcelona already secured the copa del ray, real madrid playing in the champions league semifinal while sevilla will be pleases with their season so far, atleast a champions league qualification should be okay for them.
