Arsenal Snatched A Draw.

Just like Manchester United, there is no sense of optimism with Arsenal because you just don't know what to expect. On paper, Arsenal looks strong against Crystal Palace but on the field, we know that won't always be the case because they have the knack of bottling leads and struggling when they should have been winning. The table sometimes doesn't lie.

Arsenal took an early lead against Crystal Palace and you would expect them to ease up and finish up the game but they watched as Crystal Palace hit them back twice to take the lead before an extra-time goal forced a draw for the Gunners. You know there is a problem when a team that is expected to win a game is celebrating the draw right at the end of the game and that's typical of Manchester United as well.

Aubameyang gave Arsenal an early lead before Benteke and Edouard scored to recover from the early setback and it took a 95th intervention from Lacazette to force a draw for the Gunners in a game they should have comfortably won. Patrick Vieira went back to his old stomping ground and got a draw against Arsenal. In his words, it was more of 2 points dropped rather than a point gained which says a lot about how Arsenal are performing as a team.

Arsenal got off to a flying start in the 8th minute after Pepe brilliantly produced a lovely curling effort on the edge of the box which the goalkeeper pushed away but Aubameyang was quick to react to it as he smashed home the effort with precision to give Arsenal the early advantage in the 8th minute.

Both teams had half chances few times but nothing threatening on both ends. Gallagher came so close just before halftime with a lovely volley but he couldn't find the back of the net and the search for an equalizer continued for Palace.

Finally, in the 50th minute, Crystal Palace got their goal after Benteke made light of Arsenal's defence as he strolled through on goal to unleash a lovely shot into the bottom corner of the net. With more chances from both sides which the defence and the goalkeeper kept out, the scoreline stayed the same until the 73rd minute when Edouard also made light the defence of Arsenal and most notably, Ben White before powering his shot that found the roof of the net to give Crystal Palace the lead for the first time in the game.

In the 87th minute, Arsenal could have gotten a goal to draw level after Tierney was perfectly placed inside the box and he went for power rather than placement and his shot rattled the crossbar instead rather than go in. The post couldn't deny a 95th-minute effort from Lacazette after an in-swinging corner kick was delivered into the box. The goalkeeper managed to deny the initial shot but was helpless to stop the rebound from Lacazette to give Arsenal a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace.

From leading by a goal to losing 2-1 and then getting a goal right at the death?
