Denmark showed they deserved to qualify with a wonderful performance against the Welsh side. It was a spirited performance that merits attention and it shows the threat they pose in the competition going forward.

Bale got the first attempt of the game when he produced a decent strike in the 10th minute but he missed narrowly. It was Denmark who got off to a flying start in the 27th minute when Dolberg produced a brilliant strike. It was a beautifully constructed move by the team as he found space to execute his strike. He gave the goalkeeper no chance.

In the 32nd minute, Damsgaard produced great work on the side as he found his way into the box. He found Dolberg but the goalkeeper blocked it from a tight angle. Denmark produced another chance in the 45th minute through Maehle. He only managed to find the side of the net. It was a beautifully worked effort as Larsen found Braithwaite whose touch sets up Maehle.

The second goal of the game came through the first goalscorer; Dolberg. He got his second of the game in the 48th minute after a brilliant run from Braithwaite produced a lovely ball into the box but Williams' clearance was poor and the ball fell to Dolberg who smashed home the effort.

Wales got their chance too in the 53rd minute after Williams delivered a brilliant ball into the box but Bale's header got off wrong and it went off. Shortly after, Bale produced a cross to James who controlled the ball well and struck it but it was blocked by Christensen and the goalkeeper gathered it.

Jensen came close in the 65th minute for Denmark when he was trying to find the angle but he missed. It was close. In the 80th minute, Cornelius' brilliant run was stopped by Brooks and a freekick was given. Denmark didn't make the most of it and Braithwaite wasted it.

Braithwaite has been instrumental in this match and he produced a lovely delivery into the box as he found Maehle at the near post but his effort was blocked for a corner kick by Rodon. In the 86th minute, Denmark missed two chances with Andersen and Braithwaite the culprits but two minutes after, they got the 3rd goal after Maehle was afforded too much space in the box. He controlled it so well, cuts in and roofs the ball expertly.

Wales got reduced to 10 men after a careless challenge on Maehle by substitute Harry Wilson. The rout was completed by Braithwaite with a sumptuous finish into the bottom left corner after receiving a pass in the box. It was initially flagged for offside before it was given as a goal.

The game ended 4-0 and Wales' adventure has come to an end.

Well deserved victory from the Danes. Quite an impressive performance. Never saw that scoreline coming (I believe no one did).

The Welsh were really disappointing not to even register a goal. Guess they deserved what they got. Looking forward to Denmark quarter final game against Czech republic
