And the dream continues for England but sadly, it ended for Denmark who have had a wonderful journey in the tournament so far. They fought, showed character and determination but it wasn't enough for this spirited England side who dominated them in every department and won the game at extra time.

England will have it all to do against the clinical Italy in the final. It won't be an easy game for either side but taking their chances would go a long way to decide the course of the game. If Denmark had taken the game to penalties yesterday, they would have had a great chance of knocking England out but this is football, nothing is set in stones as there would always be twists and the same thing is expected with England v Italy game for the final.

In the 6th minute, England got off to a good start with an early threat when a brilliant ball in from Harry Kane came in from the right hand side but it was a little too much for Sterling who couldn't get to the ball. A huge let off for Denmark. In the 12th minute, Kane found him again inside the box and after cutting inside, his shot lacked the power as Schmeichel easily gathered it.

Denmark got a chance of theirs - their first real chance with Hojbjerg after England lost possession of the ball but his shot lacked the needed power and placement as it went straight to Pickford. Shortly after, Braithwaite had a shot at goal and luckily for England, it was deflected for a corner kick.

Denmark continued to show their threat and Damsgaard was on this in the 24th minute when he tried to pick out the angle from the edge of the box but he missed. He got his goal in an emphatic fashion when Denmark got a freekick in the 29th minute and he unleashed an exquisite and excellent freekick into the back of the net leaving Pickford with no chance at all. A lovely delivery and a wonderful lead for Denmark.

In the 37th minute, Sterling got denied by the body of Schmeichel after a pin point pass from Harry Kane found him. He tried to guide the ball home but Schmeichel made himself big and the ball struck his body to deny Sterling. It was an instinctive reaction from the Danish goalkeeper. Wonderful save.

England got back into the game in the 38th minute when another lovely pass from Harry Kane found Bukayo Saka who brilliantly tried to pick out Sterling but Simon Kjaer bundled the ball into his own net to draw England level, 1-1 and game on.

In the 55th minute, a lovely indirect freekick was delivered into the box by Mason Mount and it was met with precision by Harry Maguire. The ball was destined for the back of the net but Schmeichel produced a stunning save to get a hand on the ball and stopped it from going in. What a moment it was. Dolberg had a tame effort at goal for Denmark in the 58th minute despite being close to the goal.

In the 73rd minute, a chipped cross from Mason Mount almost found the back of the net if not for the alertness and awareness of Schmeichel who directed it over the bar for a corner kick. England had couple of chances to win the game right at the death with Phillips, Mount and Harry Maguire but there wasn't much to the efforts.

The game ended and both teams had it all to do for another 30 minutes of Extra Time. Tired legs but they wouldn't mind because there is a prize at stake for both teams.

With just 3 minutes into the extra time, Harry Kane was played in and despite being in a tight angle, he managed to squeeze his shot in but was pushed away quickly by the brilliance of Kasper Schmeichel. Shortly after, Schmeichel parried away another shot but this time from the substitute; Jack Grealish.

England got a lifeline in the 11th minute when the ever impressive Sterling got a touch inside the box after dazzling with his feet. He bundled over and the referee pointed to the spot. The VAR also confirmed the check and the spotkick was confirmed. Harry Kane stepped up and took it but the ever impressive Schmeichel also got a hand to it and saved it but he couldn't prevent the rebound from Harry Kane as he smashed it home despite Schmeichel's effort to teach it. England went ahead, 2-1.

Braithwaite almost gave his side another fighting chance when his lovely strike at the edge of the box was saved by the hands of Pickford as he attempted finding the bottom left corner of the post. Sterling also would have extended the lead in the 30th minute when Harry Kane played him and Schmeichel denied him again.

The game ended 2-1 in favour of England and they would be taking on Italy in the final on Sunday. Another final hurdle to scale through from both sides. Congratulations to England and we will wait to see if it is coming home to England or heading to Rome in Italy.

I honestly think that Sterling and Harry Kane were the protagonists for England to reach the final, I do not know if there are people who think something different to this but well, is that between the two scored many goals the exact amount I do not remember, but if I saw in a post of a friend and were many.

They played pivotal roles in England reaching this stage, no doubt.

Do you think they can also do it in the final to beat Italy and be crowned champions?

Honestly, it is very hard to say because Italy are not pushovers but I hope they can do it.

If is possible for the cup to be split into two, so that both teams will have something to go home with on sunday but it is not possible. Just one team will go home with the cup.
May the better team win in the game on sunday.

Hahahaha if that was possible, it would be nice. One team that is deserving would lift the trophy.
