Still Going Strong.

Leicester City hosted Manchester City who has been storming to the title. The International bream wasn't enough to halt their form even though Manchester United dented their brilliant run a few weeks back. City resumed and the players are ready to take the title.

Manchester City thought they had gotten the lead when Fernandinho struck a beautiful shot from way out that found the back on the net but it was ruled for offside as it was adjudged that Sergio Aguero (who has been confirmed to be leaving Manchester City at the end of the current campaign) has blocked the view of the goalkeeper. Aguero was said to have interfered with the play that way. What a goal that would have been. Neatly struck, expertly executed.

Kevin Debruyne also had a brilliant free-kick on the edge of the box. He beat the goalkeeper but he couldn't beat the goal post as it rattles the crossbar and was gathered in safety.

Leicester also thought they had scored when Ayoze Perez found Jamie Vardy who rounded the goalkeeper to slot home easily but he was also ruled for an offside. There won't be any complaints on that since he was played in an offside position.

Not long after, the in-form Iheanacho was racing through on goal. He did a great hold up as he waited to have support when he noticed he couldn't go all the way. He found Tielemans to his right-hand side only for Tielemans' shot to be blocked off for a corner kick.

The moment of truth came in the 58th minute when the goal came from an unlikely source. A gracious ball fell to Mendy and he expertly controlled it, shifted it to his right leg, beating Marc Albrighton while doing that and released a beautiful curling effort to the far bottom right of the post. Schmeichel couldn't do anything to keep it out, 1-0.

In the 74th minute, Gabriel Jesus was played through. After racing into the box, he selflessly passed the ball to Raheem Sterling whose angle was blocked off and he did so well by giving the pass back to Gabriel Jesus rather than taking the shot himself. Gabriel only had to poke the ball home to make it 2-0.

Leicester City would be hoping to move to second place before United take on Brighton but that hope has been dented as a win for United would mean 4 points gap between second place and third place.

The game ended 2-0 in favour of Manchester City who now has 74 points with just 7 games left to play. Barring any misfortune, they would win the title come May.
