[Esp] Reviviendo la historia. Los Héroes del 41. Orgullo del Béisbol Venezolano [Eng] Reliving history. The Heros of 41. Pride of Venezuelan Baseball

Dear family #hive and @sportstalksocial, talking about Venezuelan #beisbol, is to focus immediately on #Caracas and #Magallanes, however, the truth is that #Venezuela is a factory of #mayorleague, many have been the players who have and still they leave their mark on the big top. Who was not moved by the exploits of Gato Galagarraga, the great Bob Abreu; the hits of the tiger Miguel Cabrera; and better still, for the great plays of our multiple golden glove, the man with silk hands Omar Visquez; On the other hand, we suffered in that play, where the misjudgment of the ampáyer, took away the #perfect game from the Venezuelan pitcher Armando Galarraga. However, today we will focus on the feat achieved by the heroes of '41, by rising as champions of the Amateur Baseball World Series, held in Havana, Cuba in 1941. Without further ado, Let's develop the facts, follow in my footsteps, and let's take action.

Fuente

The significance of the victory obtained in the World Series of Amateur Baseball in 1941 was so great that it transcended sports; since it affected the mentality of the citizen, constantly beaten and used to living in the midst of adverse events. A country full of misfortunes, malaria raged and sanitary conditions were not the most optimal for the moment. The dictatorial sentiments of Juan Vicente Gómez were still being felt and, although oil loomed as a savior in the economic aspect, the morale of the population was broken. Source

Fuente

In a country accustomed to defeats, Abelardo Raidi was the delegate in charge, so he had to choose the best players, having to travel throughout the national territory, leading him to achieve his mission, he assembled his team. That group was in a series that served as preparation and Cuba was present, the powerhouse of baseball; where they won, spirits were raised, but people didn't believe in them. Being successful was not linked to the Venezuelan at that time, being the protagonists of misfortunes, yes. But the time had come, September 27, 1941. Source

Venezuela was undefeated in its last two matches, in which it would face the most dangerous teams, the Dominican Republic and Cuba.

It was a pleasure, my friends, to have remembered a little about that feat achieved by that group of heroes, who despite not obtaining victories in the previous championships, were not daunted by the fierce favorites and two-time Cuban champions, since for their pain , were defeated by Venezuela twice in the same event; I hope that the content has been to your liking, and has made you remember something of those experiences. Greets and a hug.
