Javier Harnández Chicharito earned winners' medal with Sevilla
LA Galaxy striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernández has picked a winners' medal after Sevilla lifted the Europa League trophy on Friday at the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne, Germany.
Sevilla won the UEFA European league for a record sixth time with a 3-2 victory over Inter Milan in the final and Hernandez was entitled to a medal dispite he didn't feature in the final game against lnter Milan.
Harnández started the season with the La Liga club and scored four goals for Sevilla in the group stages which was enough to earned him winners' medal before leaving to join Major League Soccer's Galaxy in January.
The Mexico international has now earned his fourth major trophy in European football after the winning the Premier League with Manchester United on two occasions under manager Sir Alex Ferguson and the FIFA Club World Cup with Real Madrid.
Hernández enjoyed a productive stint at Old Trafford between 2010 and 2015, he scored 20goals and won the premier league in his debut season. he spent 2014-2015 season on loan at Real Madrid there he won the FIFA Club World Cup.
In August 2015, the Mexican international signed for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen. After two seasons in Germany, he returned to the Premier League and joined West Ham United.
Mexican’s transfer ends a two-year stay in east London, during which he scored 17 goals in 63 games. Hernández joined Sevilla in September 2019.
And in January 2020, the 31 years old Harnández completed a move to LA Galaxy in January 2020.
