It was a tremendous test for the positive results that Erik Tn Hag's Manchester United had been enjoying; the Red Devils received at Old Trafford the visit of Mikel Arteta's Arsenal, who had won five of their first five games. Arsenal's dynamism and effectiveness represented a tough challenge for United.
After a disheartening start with two consecutive defeats at the hands of Brighton and Brentford, the latter by a landslide, ten Hag's side literally hit rock bottom. They started matchday 3 of the Premier League as bottom of the competition, but from then on it has been all about growing and growing for the Dutchman's side.
Arteta's Gunners turned up at Old Trafford to play their football and, for several periods of the game, caused ten Hag's side to suffer, with the visitors having the lion's share of possession, but it was the home side who provided the precision and effectiveness. Tras un descorazonador inicio con dos derrotas consecutivas a manos del Brighton y el Brentford, esta última por goleada; los de ten Hag tocaron, literalmente, fondo. Arrancaron la jornada 3 de la Premier League como colistas de la competición, pero de ahí en más todo ha sido crecer y seguir creciendo para los dirigidos por el neerlandés.
Los Gunners de Arteta se plantaron en Old Trafford a hacer su futbol y, durante varios pasajes del encuentro, provocaron que los de ten Hag sufrieran, la posesión fe de la visita, pero la precisión y efectividad la puso el conjunto local. On the 11th minute Bukayo Saka sent in a deep pass that Martinelli had finished superbly in front of David de Gea, but the Gunners left winger's goal was disallowed for an earlier foul by Martin Odegaard on Christian Eriksen, a Viking clash in midfield that prevented Arsenal's goal from going in after a VAR review. United were under siege from Arteta's side who were outplaying them with the ball.
Arsenal's options and dynamism from midfield forward are wide and deep, their footballing tone is one that, if maintained, will make them compete at the top of the Premiership and in the names of Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli and Grabriel Jesus, the attacking line-up is very interesting; but in defence, Arteta will have to adjust many things. The most resilient Manchester United so far this season were able to withstand their opponents' onslaughts and hit back with severe effectiveness.

We have already spoken of United's resilience, and we must praise the enormous mentality and capacity for reaction that they showed on the Old Trafford pitch; just six minutes after conceding the equaliser, they were able to hit back at their opponents. Bruno Fernandes, who, along with Christian Eriksen, was instrumental in the development of ten Hag's attacking football, set up Marcus Rashford for a great ball to make it 2-1 to United from a textbook counter-attack that started at the feet of the Dane, Eriksen.
The 2-1 scoreline gave the impression of leaving Arsenal, who until before United regained their early lead, had been vastly superior in their ball handling and chance generation, naked and reeling. After their fateful start, United are just three points off the top in the Premier League.

This victory made me happy because I was nervous at first. It wasn't the best of performance for Manchester United but they got the points. Getting the point is important and those goals were beautiful to watch too.
I was Happy on United's victory as well, they played a very serious match against a great opponent. Arsenal we're superior on terms of ball possession and chances creation, but United were lethal.

Honestly, if ball possession were used to determine the winner. The Red Devils would be nowhere near being a winner. Arsenal really played well but only the balls that were able to get into the net makes the winner. But the Ten Hag's squad really tried, I see an improvement from how they were last season.
I hope Man United can at least keep the pace till the end.

Arsenal played a very good and fluent game, they we're, somehow, better than United in terms of footballing form, but Ten Hag's lads were relentless on the counter attacking phase.
