Another mid-week clash ending the wrong way. Southampton is a miserable team right now.
I am worried about the coach for the rest of the season. Losing four in row and the last one, taking 9 goals from Manchester United. This is pitiful. It sound like if you can shoot today, you can score for United.
I was hoping to see damage control after the first red card. I guess the pressure was too much one sided. taking into account own goal and all the drama. I know Southampton players wanted the match over after 90 minutes. They will play Newcastle and Wolves twice. I will love to see how they respond.
29 points into the season, I know they have injuries, this is the time to protect and keep the back packed
defensively to avoid more damage.
In the meantime, Manchester United is in second position plus 9 more goals. City is the leader for now.
City has some interesting match before March 6 clash for the top spot. Things change quick in the EPL.
It is a strong league with pure surprises.
Liverpool and Leicester are not out until their clash in February 7th. The second half of the season favors many teams going down the wire. The strange thing within the EPL any team any day can surprise you.
While we all look at the top contender, I enjoy watching the bottom feeder playing against each other.
Sheffield finally got three wins in their last five. I can see this as a confidence builder for the rest of the season. Moving from the bottom pile will be an overstatement. The weigh is heavy cause all 19 teams think they can play Sheffield and get a win no matter what.
Sheffield will play Chelsea next and whatever team they play is a journey for them. I hope they have a concrete plan to move up in rank. Definitely not easy how I saw the game is going.
Brom is fighting as well to get off the last three place, so does Fulham. They do have two games back to catch on. Hopefully they turn to points to bring a gap closer to Brighton.
The matches are playing close to each other.
The teams are playing FA CUP, Champions League and Europa League plus regular season EPL.
A lot is going on for all teams. They are playing weekend, week days and all together.
Today Progba did not play. He was resting for some big match in the incoming days.
It is getting interesting to see which team will advance for the great finale.

That's roughly one goal every 10 minutes for ManU, isn't it? Oof... You hate to be Southampton after a defeat like that.
I honestly hate matches like this, because it's not even close and it's just painful to watch. I much prefer a close game, like a 9-7 or even a 3-2 match. Then it's something more interesting when there's tons of shots on goal and crazy saves. I'd take a match like that any day over...this...
Don't know why they kept scoring at the end.
I feel bad for the coach, he may be sacked after this.
