That was a needed win for Chelsea to get a break from Leicester. As a fan I would take both wins but this one do take care a business for next year. Again I was so happy to see the fans back in the stand making a lot of noise. Next season will be epic seeing the fans ready to support their team. Watching the game from afar, you see misses piled up over missed. Where are the goals Chelsea? So 45 minutes gone and got to wait for second half. We need goals so bad. Funny thing Werner did score but not allowed. This is when you know the goal will come in unfamiliar place.
You can see from this game the tension was so high it has become problematic for any Chelsea player not to get hurt. Kante did not last long on the pitch. He was subbed due to a lower hamstring issue. Hope 10 days can bring him back for the big one. Kovacic who has been absent due to injury was back to get acquaintance with the team vibe. This season has been somewhat dramatic for many teams. Do you remember anything from the beginning of the season? Not so much for me. Both Manchester teams were not leading at first. They start their quest right in the middle and hold on to their lead.
Leeds United was on top for a while and then vanished. Leicester remains on top till today.
I did not expect Sheffield to be out this season when you consider how good they were last year.
Liverpool did not hold up to par this season with Tottenham. Both teams suffer injuries and they never recover. Arsenal the same way, very quiet year. West Ham is promising. Not sure if they are going to spend some money to remain in top 10 of the EPL. Relegation is clear for the bottom three.
Can't wait to see the newcomers and see how they will behave in top league.
Here comes a break for some players in June and July. Not really a break since Euro2020, Gol Cup and Copa America this Summer. EPL will be back in August for season 2021/2021. Rest assured some teams will benefit for rest of their players if they do not play during those tournaments. July could be the month for the players to fully rest. This is a business. We got to start again and see our clubs perform to the best of their abilities. How is your club doing ?
I expect Chelsea to wrap up champions league qualification against Villa; not so sure about their chances of winning the champions league final though

Villa seems to fare well when it faces the top sides. Chelsea will have to better their 1st leg result and be very careful on this one to avoid any upset.
