Real Madrid started off in a highly clinical way by scoring from the first shot on target in the opening 5 minutes after Valverde finished off his chance when Benzema assisted him in the box.

In just a few minutes later(8th minute), Barca responded swiftly by scoring the equalizer. Fati was the goalscorer and his fine form continues. Fati is truly something special in this team.

Through much of the 1st half, both sides looked vulnerable in defence and it was very end to end in attacking plays forward.
I was surprised about how much little possession Barca had in the 1st half. The possession stats at the end of the half was only 44% for Barca and 56% to Madrid. Both sides created an almost identical amount of chances in the 1st 45 minutes.

Into the 2nd half, it started off again with end to end action. In the 63rd minute Madrid was awarded a penalty after VAR spotted foul play in the penalty area, Ramos came up to take the penalty and scored it.
From this moment onwards Madrid started to look like the better team and created further good chances until they finally scored a 3rd goal in the 90th minute. Modrić was the goalscorer for Madrid's 3rd goal of the match.

In my opinion Fati was Barcelona's best performing player and I expected more from Messi but he was not at his best.
Real Madrid's top 2 performing players in this El Clássico were Ramos and Kroos.
