Are You Giving More Time To The Attacker?

You wish you could get more time. If you have more time, you can do a lot of things, but you cannot do all of that because you have a limited time. The same thing applies in a fight. You might be able to block the punch and defend yourself. It happens so quickly, you could not raise your hands up.

Are You Giving More Time To The Attacker.jpg

It takes time to raise your hands up and by that time, the attacker has already hit you. When you make your move to strike the attacker, you have to be pretty fast. You think you will throw a powerful punch.

To do that, you pull your hand back and then throw the punch. The attacker can see clearly what you are about to do. And you are giving more time to the attacker. Before throwing a punch, the attacker might punch and hit you. Or, he can block your punch or just step back as a defense.

You just give more time and the attacker takes advantage of that. Here punch is an example. If you make any move and you take more time to strike, your strike might not hit the target. It looks cool to make some extra spinning before hitting the target, but it will not look cool if you fight for self-defense.

Instead of pulling your hand back, you can punch right from there. It will not give the obvious indication that you are punching and the attacker will not get more time to react. As a result, you have a higher chance to hit the target.

Well, you don't have to end the fight with one punch. You can do follow-up punches and kicks. Make speed work in your favor. Hope you found this useful.

Quite to some nice technique. Time is really the difference between knocking down the attacker or been knocked down.

This technique you have explained is that when one is faced with an unexpected attacker, time is of essence.

Even though you know what to do, if you are late, you might not be able to defend yourself. It is that important. Thank you for your comment!
