You are motivated to do something and you start doing that. That's good. But how long will you stay motivated to do that? If it is just a temporary feeling, you will give up after a certain period of time.
You see that many people start learning martial arts. At the beginning, you will see a huge number. Later, the number of students who practice martial arts decreases. Like anything else, if you want to do better and succeed, there is no alternative to being consistent.
When you practice martial art, you should do that regularly. You can decide how many days a week you will do training? It can be 3 day, 4 days or 5 days. Whatever you pick, be consistent in your training.
You will not see noticeable progress quickly. You have to keep learning and practicing step by step. Slowly you will see progress. If you are a beginner, you have to spend time to get ready to learn marital art. You might need to spend a couple of weeks to practice basic exercise.
When you are ready, your instructor will teach you martial art moves. After learning each move properly, you get to learn next move. There is no shortcut, you have to put your effort and time regularly.
For some reason, you can take a break. But you should start your training again. So how can you be consistent in learning marital art? Well, you have this answer. Ask yourself why you are learning martial art.
If you have a strong why, you will be consistent in martial art training. That would act as a driving force in the journey of learning martial arts.
