You know what to do but you cannot do anything. It takes more than striking to defend yourself when you are being attacked. The feelings someone has at that moment can stop him from acting the way he/she is supposed to act.
If there is no fear, uncertainty, and confusion, you can do a lot of things. When you are anxious and worried about something, your performance can decrease. You cannot do a normal thing at that moment properly.
When you punch, kick, or strike in a fight, it does not happen automatically. Your body will act the way you want. Of course, there is uncertainty when you fight. You might not know what the attacker is capable of doing. And this is not a movie that once the fight is over, everything is finished.
Even if you fight and save yourself at that moment, there are consequences after the fight. In a fighting competition, you do not have to think like this. Once the fight in the ring is over, it's done. Fight in real life is not like that.
You have to make the decision quickly. You will not have a lot of time for that. If you fight and hit the attacker, you have to decide that observing the situation. If you see that it would be difficult to protect yourself against all attackers, you will try to find another way to defend yourself. Maybe you talk to the attackers and change the situation if there is an option you have at that moment.
But if you are confused and cannot decide anything, you will be vulnerable. And you will more likely to get hurt. What happens psychologically, that is very important. Your decision can help you protect yourself. If you are not confused and know what you are dealing with, there is a high chance you can defend yourself.
So what do you think? Thank you so much for reading this post. Please feel free to leave your comments. That's it for now. Stay safe. Always be happy!
