Flexibility In Martial Art and Self Defense

You will just strike and hit, so do you have to have flexibility? You will do different exercises and stretching to be flexible. Without having flexibility, you cannot make many moves in martial art.

You are practicing martial art, you are not going to be a gymnast, but having flexibility is very important in your martial art training. You can stop the attacker from distance using your longest weapons, aka, legs. But you can raise your legs and kick in the right order if you do not have enough flexibility.

You cannot enhance your flexibility one day. You need to keep practicing regularly. And you should push yourself gradually. After a certain period of time, you will be surprised to see how flexible you are.

When you fight for self-defense and make decisions, you need to be flexible as well. You decide to fight to protect yourself. But quickly you realize that this is not going to be easy to get out of there. Maybe there are multiple attackers and the number of attackers is increasing.

If you still stay there and keep fighting, the end result will no be as you thought before. You have to change your decision and find a way to get out of there. If you are not flexible in making your decision in a fight, you might be in more trouble.

When it come to fighting and the martial arts, flexibility is very important has it gives you an edge over the attacker. It also determines one creativity when in a tight situation.
