Nice, Clean and Pretty Fight Do Not Exist

If you are in a show and see a martial art demonstration, you see they fight in a nice manner and it looks awesome! Is a fight nice, clean, and pretty as it looks?

If it is acting like what you watch in movies, yes, it is nice and clean. But when you fight for self-defense, this is not nice, clean, and pretty regardless of what martial art you practice.

What we see in a martial art demonstration, that is determined earlier. How someone is going to attack and what move he will make to defend and continue fighting. And they practice it over and over. That's the season we see the fight nice and clean.

You cannot predict how you are going to be attacked. You can imagine it, but that's just an imagination. When you see a lot of attackers, you might think about whether you fight or find a way to escape and run. One of the most common questions people ask is,

How many guys can you fight with at a time?

Maybe that's how some people try to measure how good you are. The bigger the number is, they think you are that good. In a fight, you have to consider a lot of factors. If the attacker is a good fighter and has some background, you will find it hard to deal with a single attacker. If the attackers are not that good, you can fight with multiple attackers easily.

You can get hurt and bleed. This is something you might not expect but it happens. You fight, no one is able to hit you, that's unlikely to happen. You get hit and still keep fighting to defend yourself. You can defend yourself and get out of there at the end.
