Shift Your Mindset

You know what to do, but you failed to do that. Why? You don't understand that this is coming. Or, you see it is coming, but you are ready yet. You have different feelings based on the situation.

Everything is okay and you are safe. You feel relaxed. When things change and you notice that, you need to shift and change your mindset quickly. If you take time to shift your mindset, it will delay your response. As a result, you might not be able to do what you are supposed to do for self-defense.

When you are in a fighting stance and your opponent is attacking you, you are ready to make your move and counter-attack. You might find it easy to do that because you are mentally prepared and you are ready to deal with the situation.

When something happens out of nowhere, you might get shocked. You can get freeze due to a surprise attack. The moment you get freeze and you are tensed, you cannot move your body easily. You try to understand what's going on at that movement. So you are being attacked. Then you move to the defense mode and decide what to do in that situation.

Physical condition, flexibility, and ability to fight can help you a lot. Your mindset plays an important role. It is you who decide what to do at which moment. So the quicker you can shift your mindset based on the situation, the better.

Haha haha. My dear friend. This reminds me of my childhood days when I wasn't ready for a fight and a troublesome fellow attacked me. I had many punches on my face on till when I shifted my mindset, I was able to defend then start attacking too.
